Wow things have been happening!
Kenny Lake Chapel has a new pastor!!! Brian Williams was recently voted pastor by a unanimous vote. We were all thrilled and pleased to welcome Brian and his family, to shepherd and lead at Kenny Lake. Brian and Heather arrived here in July and they have been at work ever since, They have been leading a youth group from the Chapel, for several weeks now, praise God for a good attendance and opportunity to teach and lead kids to know Christ. We are so thankful for your prayers and support, please continue to pray for Brian and Heather as they continue at Kenny Lake and for Glen and I as God leads us to whatever is next.
Northword As we move on from Kenny Lake. Glens calendar is filling up with speaking engagements and ministry presentations as well as planning a trip down south for the same, we would appreciate your prayers in all we do, Glen is finishing up his fall courses in North Pole, Delta and Kenny Lake. Of course this means lots of driving on winter roads and. Our biggest prayer is for Glen to stay healthy and full of strength to finish the task and for the classes to truly be equipping to the folks attending and ultimately the Church to be strengthened..
NorthWords beginning
We began NorthWord Ministries (after pastoring Clearwater Baptist Church in Delta Junction AK for 28 years) with a multi-faceted plan, all with the purpose of strengthening the Christian churches in Alaska. We officially began in August 2022.
First, we offer courses to help equip individual believers to serve and minister in their churches. In our 2023/2024 courses we will be offering Basic Bible Interpretation, Biblical Counseling, Expounding on the Scriptures, and Pneumatology. We will be offering courses in Delta Junction, North Pole Alaska and soon in Copper Center AK as well.
Next, in our church revitalization ministry, we wanted to come along side churches that are struggling and in need of leadership and Preaching of God's Word. Our goal is to help churches who are struggling become fruitful again, encourage and establish them in God's Word and assist them in finding an expository pastor/teacher. Through Gods guidance we have been serving at Crossroads Baptist Church in North Pole Alaska since October 2022 and finished there July 2024 when pastor Colin Winkleman began ministry there. After Crossroads Glen has been officially called as pastor for Kenny Lake Chapel and this will be our next revitalization work.
We would also like to assist those who desire to serve in Alaska as a point of contact, information, guidance and help.
Lastly, we feel there is a need in our churches for men's ministry to encourage, challenge and strengthen the faith of men. (Strengthen men and the church is strengthened, and the home is strengthened as well)
